Scandinavian Developer Conference 2012

This year (as well as last) I attended the Scandinavian Developer Conference (SDC) in Gothenburg, Sweden. Since it is a rather broad conference I cannot speak for everyone, but the take away for me this year was that there is no longer any question if JavaScript is moving from being “only” a language to becoming a complete platform. The transformation has already begun.

Let your CSS know if JavaScript is enabled or disabled by first adding a class to the html root element and then change it using JavaScript.

A new hope

Once upon a time, there was just HTML. No CSS and no JavaScript. No sound or video and not even background images. The font was Times New Roman and the links were blue and underlined.
